Hi,

I saw your awesome videos for rendering realistic FEA simulations in Youtube. So first to thank you!

I have a question regarding ParaView and LS-DYNA ALE. I can somehow control the visibility of the Lagrangian parts but can you please tell how to control Eulerian (Fluid/ALE)?

Under the "Color Map Editor", if I tick the "Interpret Values as Categories", I can see which color to which part is assigned. This doesn't hold for ALE.

Thanks in advance!

Ivaylo

Hi @if4ou

Honestly, I was never able to fully understand how the color map in Paraview worked. I think it is more targeted for coloring static fringe plots, rather than 3D simulations.

Did you see the video on using Blender to visualize simulations? If your simulation isn't too complicated, I found that method to be great for producing realistic animations.

Thanks for your quick response!

Yes, I watched both the videos, you explained quite well process. My problem is that for an FSI case of mine (2 fluids and 2 solid bodies) I am struggling in visualizing the Lagrangian and Eulerian frames combined in ParaView.

Cheers,

Ivaylo

@if4ou

Yeah I really don't know how to visualize different parts in Paraview. I don't think it is designed for that. Could you just use LS-Prepost? Or are you interested in nice-looking visuals?
