Spur gear Contact analysis is been carried out :
-the literature review i had carried out to understand how others had approached this analysis, gives the brief summary that : A rotational speed is applied to the driving gear (pinion gear) and a torque is applied to the driven gear (output gear). this should be a resistance moment.
My concern is how to incorporate the Torque to the output gear ? which Lsdyna card should i use. ( i tried many options , but it dint work) Please let me know how to input torque / resistive moment to the other gear ?( Or To apply a rotational stiffness : moment vs rotational angle )
The main doubts regarding the Boundary Conditions (BC) used : they are :
1. Angular velocity rad/min is given to Pinion/ Driving gear & Torque N/mm is given to driven gear : i wanted to know how the boundary condition Torque can be incorporated ?
2. analysis carried out using Explicit solver gives a non- smooth contact . how to get a smooth engagement ?
