hey. do you know how to mesh a hexagonal tube? I tried using solidwork and import IGES file to PREPOST, but the i'd have a double layer of the tube. i wonder if there's a way to mesh a hexagonal tube using just PREPOST? Been searching on how to do that but so far no luck.. Highly appreciated

Even if you mesh it with a double layer of 2D elements, you can delete all but either the inner or outer layer and then offset that layer half the distance of the thickness to get the mesh centered, where you will then be able to apply a thickness to represent the thickness of the iges file. There's also a way to project thickness in a certain direction, but it can cause issues if you aren't careful.

PrePost is not a great meshing software, but you can try by going into the Mesh tab on the left and then AutoM which is an auto mesher for geometries. From there you will determine the mesh type, size, and select the iges file on screen.
