Intersection solve by contact

I have two parts A & B . Both parts will have intersections . How to solve this by using contact in lsdyna. & which contact need to be  used for the same

Hi @ravi

Not sure what you mean here? Are parts A and B intersecting eachother? Contacts are not meant to solve intersections, intersections must be avoided before putting the parts in a contact with eachother, otherwise the nodes that are intersecting will stay intersected throughout your simulation and will most likely cause it to fail.

Yes I know in LS dyna there should not be any intersections .

See in Ansys one option is there that will solve this type of problems. its called contact solving.

Due to this you will get some stress will develop at intersection location that can be used as pre stress . Is this things are possible in lsdyna?

@ravi It sounds like you are talking about initial penetration of bodies and you want that initial penetration to be treated as a press-fit. If that is correct, then yes, there are ways to resolve that initial penetration.
