Good evening,

I created a model on LS-PrePost 4.6 to model a composite component with both intralaminar failure (MAT-054) and zero-thickness solid cohesive elements (MAT-138); it run without problems on MPP double R11.
Then my university have switched to Ansys 2022 R2 license, with R13; I tried running again the same model with the new solver (still MPP double), but it now gives "Error 41458 (SOL+1458). Cohesive solid element 124073 is badly shaped. Please check your model in first state." on first iteration.

I tried opening my keyword file on LS-PrePost 4.10 and save it as R13 keyword, but the same error occurs.

I also tried using the old solver, but it does not work with the new license.

Do someone have any idea why this is occurring and how could I solve it?

Here's the R13 release notes:

https://www.dynasupport.com/news/ls-dyna-r13-0-0-released-1

"Added option to specify the energy release rates for modes I and II (GIC and GIIC) in *MAT_138 as element size dependent curves."

Maybe it's defaulting to something here causing your problem?
