As you can see in the image below, I need that the boundaries on the left and on the right have the same motion during the excitation (similar to a shear beam). I used to perform this with tied boundaries in PLAXIS, but I don't know how to do the same in LS-DYNA.
Any help will be great, thanks in advance.
I would suggest splitting those selected nodes into two separate node sets and then creating two *Boundary_prescribed_motion_set to apply motion to them both.
Within this card, you will need to define the degrees of freedom for the motion (DOF), a time history curve to drive the motion of the node sets (LCID), and define whether this motion is velocity, acceleration, or displacement (VAD). For both cards you will have the same settings, except for the scale factor (SF) which you will make -1.0 for the opposite side if you want the motion to be the same for both sides but opposite.
