Hello, I am trying to perform a f1 carbon fiber nose.

I have used a Mat 58 model, since I have only one surface where I define the laminate. However when I want to see the results of the simulation in 3dplot, the nose cone does not crash, go downwards.

Anybody could help me with this issue please?

Thank you

Hi @dani

Could you provide more details as I'm not exactly sure what you're question is?

Which part is the laminate material? What is this a picture of? What is supposed to happen in this simulation? Is it a crash?

Hi @negativevolume

The structure is a f1 nose cone. I downloaded the cad in a website and I prepared the outer surface for the simulation. What you see in the picture in the outer surface of the nose cose, split in different parts to generate different layups.

The simulation I am trying to perform is a F1 crash test, like FIA do to guarantee safety conditions. I have performed a crash with rules requirements using a rigid wall to crash it.

I expected a crash simulation liked I found on internet where the fiber break. I attached a picture of a simulation that I have found on internet. I expected something like that.
