Hi,

I find out how to used aerospace tool. I couldn't create rivet by fastener setups. Not seen rbe3 crush rbe3.. just red points are created. What is the cause of these red points?

The red points in HyperMesh's aerospace toolbox typically indicate incomplete or failed fastener creation. Let me help you troubleshoot:

Common causes and solutions:

1. Distance/Tolerance Issues:

Aerospace > Fastener > Settings
- Check "Search Distance"
- Adjust "Search Tolerance"
- Verify "Min Edge Distance"

2. Surface Selection:
- Ensure both connecting surfaces are properly selected
- Verify surfaces are within connection distance
- Check for reversed normals on surfaces

3. Connection Setup:

Fastener Setup:
1. Select correct fastener type
2. Define proper diameter
3. Check "Auto Create" options
4. Verify "Connection Type":
- RBE2
- RBE3
- CBAR
- etc.

4. Common Fixes:
- Delete red points and try again with:
* Larger search distance
* Cleaned up geometry
* Proper surface normals
* Aligned meshes
