Hello, I am currently working on modelling a device consisting of several parts. In one of the parts, I used both shell and solid elements at both connect at common nodes. But in LS Dyna they are considered to different FEM parts. Is there a way to connect both solid and shell elements so that they act as one part?

Hi @ahmed-tawfik,
Great question. So there is no way to have solids and shells in the same "part" but they can share nodes and be given the same material, so they would act similar to what you are looking for.
