Hi, I'm relatively new to the topic of simulation and LS-DYNA. My problem: I have a model consisting of 8 parts, 2 parts are coupling heads, and 2 are rotators. The coupling heads move the rotators so that they reach a closed state. So far, I have conducted a quasistatic analysis in the closed state, which worked quite well using "Automatic_Single-Surface". However, when I use the same setup for the dynamic coupling process, the rotator quickly moves in such a way that it plastically deforms the coupling head and the guide. Do you have any suggestions on how I can set up the contact modeling so that the rotator stays more within the guide? And do I need to specify the parts as PART_INERTIA in dynamic simulations? Thanks in advance!
