I am doing an impact analysis of bullet on a ceramic plate. The error I get is 'Elements eroded due to negative volume' , 'failure due to negative volume'. I have attached .k file below. All the dimensions are in [g cm us Mbar]

Sorry I’ll address the issue with uploading .k files. For now just make a copy of the file and rename it to a .txt file and upload it.

Are you modeling erosion in you simulation?

Hello. Thanks for replying. I have attached the .txt file here. The contact type between the bullet and the targets is CONTACT_ERODING_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE .

EDIT- I cannot attach .txt file too. Don't know whats the problem with sharing.

Sorry, it should be addressed. There are spam controls that prevent attachments occasionally, it should work now.

Hi @sumit007

I'm sincerely sorry that I never got back to you on this. Things got very busy for me. Did you get this issue solved? It looked like it could have been an issue with you *contact_eroding_surface_to_surface. Maybe try a segment set instead of node set for that contact?
