Hello everyone,
I am currently working on a multiphysics simulation involving the indentation of a battery cell using a rigid rod. The model includes structural, thermal, and electromagnetic solvers, and is based on the Batmac model, which I have adapted to fit my specific use case.
I run the simulation using LS-DYNA SMP double precision (R13).
Unfortunately, the run consistently terminates with a “forrtl: severe (157): Program Exception – access violation” error. I have already reviewed several related discussions and attempted various solutions:
-
Verified and refined the contact definitions (also tested different types of contacts)
-
Tried alternative prescribed motion approaches for the indenter
-
Checked the material definitions
-
Ensured that the mesh quality is acceptable and free of zero-volume or inverted elements
Despite these efforts, I have not been able to identify the source of the error.
I am attaching the main keyword file of the simulation in case someone is willing to take a look.
I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions!
Thank you in advance for your help,
Aljon
