Hello everyone,

I'm trying to replicate a simulation of a Split Hopkinson's Pressure Bar. I have followed all the steps described in the paper but I'm unsure how to output the waves like they did (see image). They state that they use the strain propagation data from elements located at SG1 and SG2 (Image in comments). The bars are made of solid elements so I've used ELOUT to output the strains at these points but the results don't match up. If anyone has any experience in simulating SHPB can you please assist? I'll also attach the .k file.

@syed2468 how different are your results? And are your sure that you are taking the strain data from the same point on the bars that they did? Also, make sure your contact friction is set to 0 like they are assuming
