How to make a simple rectangular solid structure inclined at an angle 1/1000 radian in ls-prepost?

I also tried to make a plane surface with an initial inclination of 1/1000 radian in Z-direction and extruded the plane surface to form a solid structure. However, after I extruded the plane surface it gives a shell structure instead. I want a solid rectangular beam with an initial inclination of 1/1000 in Z-direction and not a hollow shell structure.

Please suggest some solutions to my problem.

Hi @sonlong

Do you know how to create your solid structure? The easiest way would be to create it level with the plane that you want the angle measured from, and the rotate it by 0.05729 degrees. LS-Prepost will use degrees for rotation.

If you need further guidance on creating the solid structure and transforming it I can help.

@negativevolume please help with the transformation. I can make the solid structure without the inclination. I don't know how to use degree for rotation.

@sonlong Okay so in LS-Prepost, go to the Element Tool tab -> Transformation -> select rotate at the top of the new window. Your small selection window should have opened as well which you can use to select the part that you want to rotate by going to ByPart and then click the part to select all nodes in that Part. Now you can select the axis that you want the rotate to occur around and the amount of rotation that you want in the Rot. Angle. You can also specify the center of rotation as a node by checking the Pick Origin box and then clicking the node that you want to act as the center of rotation. You can also specify an XYZ coordinate to act as thing in the XYZ: box.

Use the Rotate- and Rotate+ buttons to rotate your selection in the + or - direction and then make sure to click Accept when you are done.
