I created a 3D model (one part, different bodies) and also did the meshing in ansys, and then imported the keyword file into ls-prepost. However the model behaves like it is made out of separate parts in ls-prepost. How can I merge these parts into a single part?

Are they connected? Or are they separate in space and are defined as 2 parts, such as PID 1 and PID 2? And you just want to make them both PID 1?

I also have a similar problem. I have created a rigid body bus model and meshed it in hypermesh. The bus is a rigid body with only 1 part. I would like to change the front side of the bus. I want to include a windshield (made of glass). So I want to detach some portion of the front side of bus and create another part so I can assign material properties of glass to the new part.
