Can anyone please explain what is meant by Piecewise linear plasticity in materials

It’s commonly used for conventional metals, along with *Mat_Plastic_Kinematic. It’s an elasto-plastic material with an optional plastic strain threshold, and can also be modeled as strain rate dependent.
