Hello dear helpers,

i have problems to simulate the behaviour of a crushable foam. I have force displacement as input, convert to stress-strain, input the values to simulation and then the force-displacement from simulation does not match the experiment. Probably i make a mistake in the conversion or do not correctly input the stress vs volumetric strain for ls-dyna crushable foam.

To better understand the problem I would like to plot for one element in the middle of my foam block the stress vs volumetric strain. I activated extend_binary and STRFLG=1, but I can not find volumetric strain ln(V) in the output. Can someone give me an advice where to find it?

I could have found it. Unfortunately it is empy, only zero values.... not sure why.

You need to include the elements you want to plot in *Database_history_solid. The strain flag allows you to plot fringe data but not plot strain.
