Hi all! I am relatively new in dyna. Trying to model spr3 element. But when I try to simulate simple tension case I got this error.

Memory is set 4429334040907560366 words short
memory size 325000000
Increase the memory size by one of the following
where #### is the number of words requested:
1) On the command line set - memory=####
2) In the input file define memory with *KEYWORD
i.e., *KEYWORD #### or *KEYWORD memory=####
No matter how much memmory I set it always demands more... How to solve the problem?

I'm not familiar with SPR3. Is this in reference to *Constrained_interpolation_spotweld (SPR3) or *Mat_constrained_SPR3?
I can say that generally errors like this indicate something is wrong with a constraint, to the point where Dyna is just endlessly trying to solve it. I would double check with the manual that you have the *Constrained_interpolation_spotweld defined appropriately.
It is actually both. I am using spr3 element with defined Mat_constrained_SPR3. The problem is the simulation runs when I connect spr3 element to shells. But when it comes to beams I see this error. According to Ls_dyna r13 manual it should works with beams.
@delron Oh well that's your problem. Spotwelds are meant to connect nodes to surfaces, not beams. That's why you are getting the error.

What is the end goal you are trying to do with your simulation and why where you wanting to use SPR3?
