Hi, I need to perform a simulation of a continuous weldment on an extruded part. Do you have any suggestion of how to do it? I was thinking to create a shell mesh for the extruded part and connected a 3d mesh of the weldment with some beam element. What do you think? Is there any other element on ls dyna that suits for this application?
