Hi guys, I'm playing around with LS-DYNA and I have this simulation with a rigid body impacting a crash box. I let the solver output an Intfor binary file alongside the usual d3plot but somehow there are these weird spikes displayed in the intfor file that aren't present in d3plot. Anyone know what's wrong here? Many thanks in advance.

For comparison here is a screenshot of the d3plot of the same run.

Hi @wehraboo1

If I'm not mistaken, intfor provides a binary file for viewing contour plots of each interface in your simulation. I can't remember the last time I've used this but it shouldn't be used to view your output files through time, like your d3plots.

Are you seeing any big spikes in contact force at around the time of the image that you attached?
