I am trying to prestress a steel tendon using dynamic relaxation method. I have to pretension it at 5.84MN. How should i define the load curve?

I think I read on the Dyna site that you increase it linearly over the period of relaxation. And somewhere else I read that the relaxation has done its job once the kinetic energy has converged to some acceptable point. This sounds to me like a trial and error thing, or it does it automagically.
I haven't used dynamic relaxation yet unfortunately so that's all I have for ya.
