Hi,

I am trying to view and extract nodal rotations in Ls-PrePost after running my analysis with Ls-Dyna. I made sure to step up the output files by including Database_ASCII_option, Binary_3Dplot and Histroy_node. However, only displacement in x, y, and z are available. For some odd reason, there is no option to select rotation in x, y and z. Is there something else that I am missing.

Thank you

Hi @kingoz79

I know what you are asking, but could I ask what type of application your question is regarding to? If you just want to know how much a node rotated throughout your simulation then you can use Element Tool -> Measure -> Angle 3Node and then plot change in angle. You can mess around with those options and see if you can get what you are after.

@negativevolume I have modelled a pile foundation using solid elements and would like to evaluate the response of the pile when bending moment is applied at the top of the pile. I can view displacement in x, y, and z; but the rotations in x, y, and z are not available.

@kingoz79 did the measure tool accomplish what you wanted?
