Hello everybody,

I am  a new user of LS-DYNA and I want to perform a preliminary finite element analysis of propeller and i have problems how to apply rotation. Could someone help me and thanks in advance!

Hi @malim-a

Is the propellor rigid? You could use *Boundary_Prescribed_Motion_Rigid and apply a rotational motion to the part. You will need to define a curve that is time vs motion (displacement, velocity, or acceleration) and make sure you select the setting for this motion in VAD I believe. Also make sure the correct DOF axis is selected for your motion.

@negativevolume

Thank you very much

I have seen a tutorial of propeller with bird strike (  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISU_GqfRs5I&t=1102s  ) and I delete the bird to get only the propeller but it doesn't work but i will check my model again
