LS-DYNA impact simulation contact issue:
I have an element striking normally against another element and there is edge-to-edge penetration among them. I want to avoid that behavior. I am using Eroding_Surface_To_Surface contact between the two as they belong to different include files and have SOFT 2, and SBOT 3 as the contact setting as the impact simulation involves material with significantly different stiffnesses. I have pasted the screenshot below. Any help will be appreciated!
