Hi guys, i'm having problems with lsdyna. No matter what problem I input, lsdyna only runs for 1 second and then ends, like the codes i show below. I don't think it's a keyword problem, did you guys have this problem before and can help me out?

termination time reached
1 t 9.5256E-07 dt 9.53E-07 write d3dump01 file 02/26/21 12:07:03
1 t 9.5256E-07 dt 9.53E-07 write d3plot file 02/26/21 12:07:03

Hi Felix,

I know you said you don't think it was a keyword problem, I am just wondering if you have tried running a working example to make sure?

For example, you could one of the examples here: https://www.dynaexamples.com/implicit/basic-examples . You can download, for example the keyword file "Basics I" and you should be able to see it print 10 or so d3plots on your screen.

If I saw something like that, my first steps would be to check that the keywords *Control_Termination, *Database_Binary, and the DT0 (initial time-step size) had the required inputs and were consistent.

Cheers,

M

Hi @felix_fedi,

@marianadu makes a good point to just check with a dyna examples model.

You can also just try removing all *Control cards and then recreate a new default *Control_Termination card in LS-PrePost with your termination time and try and see if the same thing happens. You might have some control card messing with things.

@marianadu Hi mariana, thanks for your reply. i have been checking with some examples from LS Dyna website and it works and i also updated my control cards after this issue popped up. But the solution still runs for 1 sec.
