Hi,

I am triying to model a unreinforced masonry wall with LS-DYNA. I want to perform pushover analysis on the wall. I define brick as rigid material. I define contact as automatic single surface mortar contact . But, contact does not run.

Is there a contact-defined masonry building model example you can recommend?

Hi @okuyan

I'm not sure defining the brick as rigid is going to work for you. Try changing the brick to *Elastic material and look up some generic masonry mechanical properties so you can test your model and see if that was the problem.

For some examples: it looks like Ameen has a few videos where he sets up masonry walls which might be useful.
